Beckett Shyku

when he learned a new word for pus
he said, oh yes, that will work
perfectly, a new title, Sanies, and
then it was back to the rusty
liquor, back to filling the bucket,
and all the while they thought--blindly--
poems were made of dreamy stuff
and that beauty's only
an inch wide, an inch deep

Fistula n. sing. A fistula is an abnormal connection between two parts inside of the body. Fistulas can happen because of injury, infection or inflammation. They may develop between different organs such as between the esophagus and the windpipe, or the bowel and the vagina. They can also develop between two blood vessels such as between an artery and a vein, or between two arteries.
