This weekend there was a shape note singing convention in Louisville. One of the organizers invited me to the center of the church while he lead the group--an indescribable feeling, standing there. You can feel the vibrations from the singers voices from all sides, because they're singing at the top of their lungs.
This band in the photo is a live gospel group Dar & Carrie & I saw on Easter weekend. Same thing--these folks were singing their hearts out.
